Join us on Saturday, August 26th, from 2 to 8 pm at West Hills Park in Knoxville, TN, to celebrate the 32 years of Independence of Ukraine. This is a FREE event for all to attend. We will have a potluck picnic, so please bring your favorite Ukrainian food and drinks to share. If you are unable to attend in person, you can sponsor the event and similar educational activities by donating to koloHUB, a local non-profit organization supporting Ukraine by raising awareness about the ongoing situation and funds for war-impacted Ukrainians and animals. The event - is rain or shine; - include educational activities for children; - is open to everyone, regardless of nationality or ethnicity; - is a free-flowing event, so feel free to come and go as you please; - sponsored by koloHUB, a local non-profit organization supporting and advocating for Ukraine. At the event, you can make new friends and connections with people from the Ukrainian community and people who support Ukrainians in their fight for freedom. There will be limited tables and chairs, so please bring your chairs and blankets if possible. We hope to see you there!
The University of Tennessee School of Music, in collaboration with the UT Libraries is excited to announce this year's Ready for the World Music Series: Ukraine program on Sunday, February 26, 2023, in the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center! Cultural exhibits, displays, and a reception will begin at 12:30pm in the lobby of the NLHMC, followed by a musical presentation at 2:00pm in the Sandra G. Powell Recital Hall.
We started the campaign on January 1st, 2023, to further your impact by assisting the Ukrainian charitable foundation “Dobrodiy Club” reach their goal of purchasing sleeping sets (a sleeping bag, hand-sized reusable warmer, and warm winter hat) for 2,000 qualified children who struggle to survive daily in their homes without power and heat at the frontline during winter 2022-2023.
