Join us for Ukrainian potluck social "Taras Shevchenko Day: Embracing Ukrainian Heritage" as we commemorate the 210th birthday of Ukrainian poet, writer, artist, public and political figure, folklorist and ethnographer. Taking place on March 23rd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, this event invites you to immerse yourself in Ukrainian culture and celebrate the enduring legacy of Taras Shevchenko. Location: TBA. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of engaging activities: - Test your recitation skills in our competition for the BEST Reading of Taras Shevchenko's poetry, and dive into the world of Ukrainian literature and art. - Challenge your knowledge about Ukraine by competing in a board game "Shevchenko asks" designed by Grekhov. - Join the Taras Shevchenko-themed contest for the BEST MUSTACHE. open to participants of all genders! - Expand your understanding of Ukraine through informative sessions and discussions, where you can learn about the country's rich history, traditions, and contemporary culture. - For our younger attendees, we offer coloring pages featuring Taras Shevchenko (designed by Grekhov). Come together with friends, family, and fellow enthusiasts to honor Taras Shevchenko's remarkable contributions to literature, art, and Ukrainian identity.
